What Is Entrepreneurship?

Entrepreneurship is the process of identifying a problem or opportunity and creating a product, service, or business to solve it — while taking on the risk and reward of bringing it to life.

You don't need to be a tech genius or have a million dollars to start. Entrepreneurs come in all shapes: freelancers, small business owners, app founders, nonprofit leaders, side-hustlers, and creative makers.

This week, you'll learn how entrepreneurs think, how they build something from nothing, and how you can do it too.

💡

Spot Opportunities

See problems others overlook and turn them into ideas worth building.

🛠️

Build & Create

Turn raw ideas into prototypes, products, and real offerings people want.

📣

Pitch with Confidence

Learn to communicate your value clearly to customers, mentors, and investors.

📈

Grow & Scale

Understand how to take something small and make it bigger over time.

Week Activities

Whether you want to build, learn, network, or compete — there's something for every Hornet during Entrepreneurship Week.

🎓

Workshops

Interactive sessions led by entrepreneur-in-residence Doan Winkel and guest David Ochi. Learn real-world skills you can use right away. Open to all students — no experience needed.

🔧
